10,813 pieces, 64 bags, 550 lbs. of litter and trash cleaned up by 35 people during our Bear Run Cleanup, Mar. 26, 2022. Phenomenal! I was impressed once again, by Councillors Rowena Santos and Paul Vicente and their assistant Carly Goodfellow for walking the talk and working alongside everyone. There are no slackers on this team!

It was delightful and inspiring to see how many wonderful, caring and friendly neighbours in the area who came out to participate! They are terrific people and out numbered P.A.L.S two to one! That is inspiring and I enjoyed meeting them all. If you were one of those great neighbours, please contact me. I want to thank you personally and discuss ideas and suggestions for creating a neighbourhood group that can maintain the area we cleaned up, tackle other areas that need some TLC and have fun while doing it.P.A.L.S never cease to amaze me! Their unselfish dedication to cleaning up our city and helping our fellow citizens regardless of where they live, is remarkable!

None of the P.A.L.S that came out to help today live in the Bear Run Rd. area. But, we are proud and happy to help any one in Brampton who cares about our city, our planet, our wildlife and the future of our children. Three young people from the neighbourhood approached us and asked if they could help. How cool is that! The oldest was 13 years old.

Speaking of young people, what can I say about Lennon Santos, the twelve year old son of Rowena Santos? He is amazing! He has been out many times with us now and we all love having him with us! Today, he was busy as usual. This time, in addition to all the other trash he picked up, he found a whole bunch of diapers. Now that is gross but he got them cleaned up. Thank you Lennon! You are a true P.A.L.!

Some of the many marvellous people who helped out today were Rowena Santos, Lennon Santos, Paul Vicente, Carly Goodfellow, Maureen Girouard, Sandy Brosbell, Joseph Saunders, Shelby Beamish, Michelle Beamish, Doug Grainger, Victoria Reynolds, Peter Waisanen, Helena Fridl Hopkins, Gurpreet Dhanoa, Rodrigo Duran, Julia Portaro, Fazal Khan, and Maureen Girouard
